Volunteers are needed to sign-up for the build for the first Lincoln County MO Habitat for Humanity Home. Construction is set to begin on Saturday, Aug 7, 2010. The plans for the home, which is located in Hawk Point, are well underway, but volunteers are still needed and are asked to sign-up on the Web site. You can access the website and the volunteer calendar at www.lcmohabitat.org. You will need to complete a registration process and view a quick orientation. Volunteer will be asked to help in different areas of the build. So no matter your physical capabilities or skill set, you can assist in the build. Volunteer will be needed for:
- The actual construction build on Saturdays and Sundays. (They need willing bodies who can work)
- To provide lunches for the volunteers each day. Each work day on the calendar has a place to sign-up for this and it shows the number of lunches required. This could be an opportunity for churches, restaurants, civic organizations, businesses or anyone to support the community.
- They will also need one volunteer each morning of the build to provide a quick, five-minute devotion and prayer, which would be a great way for area pastors to show their support.
