Weather permitting, Monday and Tuesday, June 18 and 19, MoDOT and its contractor, Chester Bross Construction, will begin work to seal coat Route B from US 61 east to MO 79 at Elsberry and Route JJ from Route W east to MO 79 near Elsberry.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the work zone with flaggers and pilot cars controlling traffic. Signs will be in place to alert motorist fresh oil and loose rock chips may be present at various locations along the roadway. Construction equipment will be entering and exiting the work zone. Some delays should be expected; motorist are urged to use alternate routes during these times. Please use extra caution if you must travel through the work zone area. All lanes will be open to traffic at the end of each workday.

Weather permitting, Monday, June 18, US 54 between Bowling Green and Louisiana will be closed to traffic to replace the 83 year-old bridge at Noix Creek near Vera, and the following Monday, June 25 the 53 year-old bridge at the North Fork of Noix Creek will also clsoe for replacement. The bridge replacements should take approximately 40-50 working days re-opening the first week of August.
