They will be popping up in front yards, at community events and in front of City Hall. They're spinning statewide as the county takes a moment during April to recognize Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) month.
The pinwheels represents Prevent Child Abuse Missouri and The Child Center's efforts to change the way Missouri thinks about prevention. In honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month and Pinwheels for Prevention The Child Center will be selling pinwheels for planting in gardens on GO BLUE Day, April 13, 2012.
Eight separate ceremonies will be held in Troy on Friday, April 13. Mayor Mark Cross will be presenting a Proclamation for April as Child Abuse Prevention Month at the 10 a.m. ceremony to be held at Lincoln and Boone Schools as well as a balloon release at the 2 p.m. ceremony that will be held at the other six elementary and middle schools with over 3,000 balloons released by students.

Resources 4 Autism is a non-profit organization that will use resources and funds to create a community based program to help families in need of health, therapy, contacts, and resources for individuals with autism. Dedicated to helping children help themselves in improving their mind, body and spirit.
